AOA 2019

SAMMC AA members continue to lead on a national level. Multiple faculty are members of the AOA and many others are being groomed as Emerging and Resident Leaders. The expertise of the current faculty was highlighted with Matt Schmitz (2009) speaking during AJ Johnson's (2004) diversity symposium.

Expert educators on the faculty offered their knowledge on intraoperative feedback and instruction during this year's Program Eduation, Accreditation and Leadership Forum put on by the AOA Council of Orthopaedic Residency Directors. Julia Nuelle (Fac mbr), Tom Dowd (2010) and Patrick Osborn (Fac mbr) offered insight to the excellent teaching curriculum in San Antonio.
