Omer Day Moves Forward

We sincerely hope that you all and your family/friends are healthy, safe and surviving social distancing. After a great deal of consideration, we have decided to conduct the George E. Omer, Jr. Research Day, the Annual Golf Tournament and Graduation Banquet as planned on 25-26 June 2020. Jim Ficke (Fac mbr) has confirmed that he will attend, and we look forward to welcoming the former Chairman back to the Department.

La Cantera Resort continues to work with us on how to best hold this event safely and we will continue to monitor the local COVID-19 situation to promote the safety of the Department and our guests. Texas is opening up, but obviously, there may be last minute changes to our plans. We hope you can join us to celebrate another great year, to review the innovation and vision the Department exercised in this unique time and to congratulate our new graduates as they embark on the next step of their careers.
