Research and Resident News

SAMMC faculty and residents continue to build their presence on the national stage. This summer, Genevieve Rambau (2019), Craig Kampfer (2021) and Patrick Osborn (Fac mbr) presented posters at the 2018 Military Health System Research Symposium. Kyle Marshall (2022) presented our research detailing gaze behaviors of residents and staff when observing radiographs.

Dustin Lybeck (2013) and Tierney Shannon (2020) traveled to Memorial Sloan Kettering for the 2018 Musculoskeletal Tumor Society meeting. Their posters on giant cell tumors and intercalary graft techniques demonstrate the diversity of patient care offered at SAMMC.

Congratulations to Stuart Davidson (2022) who was selected to serve as the resident member of the ACGME's Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Review Committee. Stuart was selected from the PGY2 and 3 classes of all orthopaedic residents in the nation. We look forward to the knowledge Stuart will bring to continue to improve our program. He also was selected to the AAOS Emerging Professionals Committee. These positions are an excellent foundation for his goals in academic orthopaedics.
